Creating Interactive Digital Games
Description: “You can be the most motivated learner in the world, but if something distracts you and you disengage, you’re off. If there is no engagement, there is no learning. The challenge is not how do we motivate students, but how do we manage their attention”. (Sarah Mercer – British linguist) Nowadays, digital games have a great potential to engage learners and encourage interaction in any classroom. This workshop focuses on the role of the teacher when bringing games and playfulness into classrooms and offers them a step-by-step guide on how to create their own educational games.
Outcomes:
In this training, participants will:
– Be introduced to the tool, its features, and its educational benefits.
– Create interactive educational games through applications.
– Learn how to choose & use the right application for a specific objective.
