Integrating the Virtual Reality (VR) Technology in Education

Description: In this era of distractions, capturing the attention of learners might be easy, but keeping them engaged throughout the learning session remains the biggest challenge. Therefore, the need arises for a solution that can enhance learners’ engagement and, consequently, make learning more productive. Immersive learning is a technique that allows learners to become fully immersed in the learning process by bringing abstract learning scenarios to life. During this training, teachers will be introduced to an effective approach for integrating the immersive learning technique in the classroom through the utilization of Virtual Reality (VR) technology which employs digital simulations to recreate real-world scenarios, providing a fully captivating immersive experience for learners, enabling them to explore new locations and comprehend abstract and complex concepts through immersive experiences.

Outcomes:

In this training, participants will:
– Be introduced to the virtual reality technology, its features and its educational benefits.
– Explore the VR headsets, kits and different VR resources that offer the ability to virtually recreate various environments that cannot be accessed within the walls of a classroom such as VR tours & expeditions, VR science labs, 360° educational videos, etc.
– Practice delivering VR-based activities.
